The Pandora Chronicles Glossary |
| Students |
Those who enroll in The Academy begin as Students. Students live off campus spending usually a year in training. They mostly study in classes on how to properly control the Genji. This process usually takes about six weeks. Because the demonic power effects every human differently, it sometimes take longer for some to tolerate and control. For those who wish to use the Genji to become Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, Mecha, Summoner or Master Sibyl( mage) the learning curve is 5 months. Others who wish to become Sword Dances or GunMasters, their learning curve is half the time. and receive weapons, magic and/or martial arts training. Students wear school uniforms and never see field combat. Most of the time they are escorted by Instructors or Mentors to take part in support mission. It's not until they graduate do Students take part in their 1st field mission. If they succeed they rank up to . . .
| Savants |
Savants are required to wear a different type uniform. Savants also live on campus. They still study mostly and learn their first of many special techniques. Whether or not they take part in certain field missions depend on a Savant's Rank and Tier status. A Savant begins at Rank C and are expected to advance to Rank S before they become ...

Shihans |
Shihans also wear a different type of uniform. They study little, but train a lot. It's at Shihan stage where one learns advanced techniques/magic. A Shihan begins at Level I and make their way to Level V. At level IV Shihans get to meet the Headmistress. At lvl V they have to beat her one-on-one before they can become....
| Dans |
It's takes an average Student 5 years to become a Dan. Dans wear special uniforms branded with the school insignia. They take direct orders from Headmistress Sarikai and are rarely seen on campus or school grounds. Some Dans are stationed at military bases as a special request to aid their fight against demonic uprisings.
| Descendants |
During her battles, Sarikai managed to capture many souls of the most powerful demons within Soul Shards. She entrusted these prism shaped containers to numerous individuals. Those individuals were called Descendants. They vowed to keep the Soul Shards out of the hands of anyone who'd want to use them for evil purposes...even at the cost of their lives if need be.
| Other info |
Mentors, A Mentor is a Shihan that offers his or her services and talents to aid Students and/or Savants with studying, training, or assistance on field exams. Mentors are rewarded few advancing points on their...
Tier System, Upon graduating from Student to Savant, Savants advance automatically from Tier 15 to 13. After completing 3 or 2/3 successful field missions and several written exams, C Savants proceed from Tier 13 to Tier 11 and so on, until they reach B Grade. At B Grade the Tier standings begin again at 15. When S Graded Savants graduate to Shihan status, lvl I, the Tier ladder begins at 16. The ladder decreases by 2 with every 3 completed field missions.( Confused? 8.8)
There is no room for error as Shihans are required to complete all 3 successful missions to advance up the Tier ladder.
| The Genji |
Genji, is an ancient power ,given to Sarikai by Bishamon long ago, that enables humans to practically become super humans. In order to use the power of the Genji mortals have to recite a secret phrase. Because of it's origin and unstableness, people imbued with the Genji are forbidden to use it on other living creatures or animals. If they do so they will become corrupted by the demonic power.
